Transform a simple vinyl doll/kit into a lifelike work of art to be cherished as an heirloom collectible. This reborning workshop features techniques to create the most realistic skin tones using the 6 Step Newborn Layering Techniques from the Excellence in Reborn Artistry Series. Learn to apply color in a layering technique that shows skin tone depth and texture. To be any more realistic, it would have to be a baby!

The advent of low-cost point-and-shoot digital cameras with manual features gives you a powerful tool for promoting and sharing your work. Join editor and photographer Terrence Lynch to learn how to get the most from the new age of photography. Topics will include camera mode selection, backdrops, lighting, and selecting the proper resolution for print and web. Terrence says there are no dumb questions about digital photography because he’s already asked them all, so students of all experience levels are welcome to his class. Basics will be covered quickly so you can move on to other topics. Please bring your camera to the class and he’ll help you unscrew the inscrutable icons and jargon.

Your 11-inch to 12-inch doll will love the dress you make for her in this special class. Instructor Sissy Lingle will guide you through the hand stiches needed to complete your adorable dress. The design is copied from a dress made by a French war bride for her small doll.
Attendees to bring: A basic sewing kit with white thread, pins, needles, and small sharp scissors. Bring your 11- or 12-inch doll and magnifier as needed.
